One good thing though (at least we like it) is we will now be doing actual IFTA stuff... At Central we were charged an 'average' tax of 0.011/mile to cover the IFTA tax... Now we might even get refunds!!
Many of us do not dead head over 10% unless there are lots of loaded miles on the back end. The nice thing about being able to refuse loads. If I see a empty mile of 200 but 2000 ldd, then yes, I will take it and not get the FSC on the mt, but the full FSC on the ldd. From what I understand about your new plan, you would get about .22 on the mt, and then .22 on the ldd. To me, that what be a chunk of change. With the fuel book app, I have found places in lets say Ohio that I can save almost .35/gal instead of using the big boys maybe 30 miles up the road. Also, there are times that our terminal price will not always be cheaper then on the road. A good example, Phoenix. I know of 2 places close to the terminal that I can usually get it for .05-.10/gal less, and not have to deal with going through the fuel/safety islands. What is nice here, we get the choice where to fuel.
