Maybe i need to rephrase my question. I have videos, study guides, and other things. I was looking for the full 120 some check point list. Apparently this is what is used at the testing facility and i have to score at least 70 check points or more to pass. I have a 70 point check list already. If i forget 1 thing on that sheet i fail. Having the full check list will allow better practicing to see if we can pass or not.

Pre trip? Driver don't even waste your time. You tell that officer mind his #### buisness and drive off into the sunset!

What states require the pre trip as part of the CDL license? Texas didn't when I got mine.

Don't worry yourself with a checklist. I used the Trucking Truth thread that @Scuba Steve mentioned. I took my rest 3 weeks ago and got B, from the door hinges to the back of the tractor. I talked like the examiner had never seen a truck before and it worked. I wasn't even half way done with my speech when she told me I had more than enough points 5 minutes ago and to just tell her about the coupling and I'm done. She said 37 points (NJ) were required to pass and I already had fifty something. If you talk enough about each component, they are eventually going to: 1. Realize you know what you're doing. 2. Get tired of listening to you.
Also, whatever the examiner tells you, just do it. I know this sounds simple but when I opened up the door to check the weatherstripping, she got nasty and scolded me because it was technically on the inside even though the state manual lists it. I can see where a lot of guys may get flustered in a situation like that and talk back. If the examiner makes you nervous like mine did, just try to pretend they aren't even there and talk to yourself like you do when you're practicing. Just make sure it's loud enough so they can hear you. I don't think I looked at the examiner once after I got in the truck. Good luck and don't sweat the checklist or make your own if it makes you feel better. Just don't jump around too much with the components and you'll be fine. -

My instructors explained it as a "120 point list". As i point out, explain, and describe the tester checks off what i just did. After i say i am done i am required to have a minimum of 70 points.
5th wheel jaws locked and closed on king pin.. check.. 1 point
5th wheel jaw handle in closed and locked position.. check... 1 point
No gap between apron and 5th wheel.. check.. 1 point
No visable damage to apron and securely welded.. check.. 1 point
This is how it was explained to us after the previous students 2 weeks ago failed the pretrip. Now after watching a few times the instructors think they know whats needed. But can not provide us with the check list since they are not a testing facility at the moment.
I am in PA and the Pretrip just changed about 2 weeks ago. Not sure if that helps.
