Had to leave out earlier than expected on maiden voyage, due call to rescue load for business associate.
Rides like a dream & feels like a mansion, compared to living 24/7/365 in one small box or another for last 10yrs.
Should have pulled trigger years sooner, especially when market conditions were much better.
Now, will have to see how all the limitations of weight & size pan out. Reason I went with smallest of big box, rather than larger I prefered.
Kept going back & forth between 156" & 120", but decided to go smaller.
Gain on 156" is much desired side/rear door & 2 cabinets. Bit more wheelbase length & weight.
Inside, size between both is hardly noticeable.
However, that door & 2' inside also comes in at $45-50,000 more. It's only myself so not worth it, at least now.
Bad timing with completely crap market, but it was time for me.
Truck & '23 reefer completely owned outright, and I can weather the storm for however long it lasts.
After 10yrs of busting butt, it's finally me time.

May, may not start a new thread on big bunk living. Found very little info here or elsewhere over the years of research. Do not do Facebook or social media, but for here.
Added this to my Prime experience just to show what is possible, if desired.
May not create thread, as reason I have been off here 5yrs, is I never had time due to running so hard.
That may change, however, as I am getting old & starting to feel it. May ease up a bit & enjoy things more now.
We shall see.......Albertaflatbed, Speed_Drums and merv85 Thank this. -
Wow,
In last 5yrs, looks like the individual company threads have almost completely gone silent.
Companies have done scared the crap outta everybody monitoring, I assume....

Better #### well get in my brownie points in now...
Thank you Rob Lowe!
(Seriously, I will be forever greatfull to him giving me that opportunity to enter the business. He is actually one of the most down to earth individuals I have ever met. Miss him on the BB court everyday at lunch, when at terminal).

what is ur empty weight?
Does ARI not make sleepers in 96" and 108" anymore? IIRC the 96" didnot come with toilet but 108" did come with it.Albertaflatbed and FullMetalJacket Thank this. -

Tractor only, full fuel 24,000#. No water.
Freshwater 30gal, grey water 15gal.
Weight with Utility trailer included, ThermoKing S-600, full fuel.... still no water, dead on 40,000#.
So, with water dumped 40'000 max capacity for haul. Limited...., of course.
I beleive ARI may do smaller & I do know they will do reworks of traditional sleepers. Will get all into a traditional sleeper. Cost was quite incredible, even for that though.
If I would have stuck to more traditional size, would have done all necessary modifications myself for that kind of cost.
There IS a father/son outfit out of UT that does rear attached unit to back of bunk that is painted to match. Outside entry, but shower, sink & seating bench. Looked pretty good, but went route I did.Albertaflatbed and merv85 Thank this. -
Last truck I bought and spec'd out only gave me 43,000# max with same trailer & usually limited my cut off to 42,000, due to the usual shippers overweight BS.
So, still losing that critical threshold of 44,000+ especially in this critical market.
But, I was below that anyways. Know what I am getting into before hand & deal with results. Oh, I am open market too. LOL Aside from some contracts I have been able to snag along the way.
If I find the attachment shower unit for back of cab, I'll post. Believe it was Davie Motors out of UT. Getting old & my memory slowly getting worse. But, will still give the young un's a run for the money....... if I can remember where I am.Albertaflatbed, Speed_Drums and merv85 Thank this. -
Found that add on shower/room.
It was actually AA Truck Sleepers.
No familiarity w/them at all, but thought the idea was very interesting.
