You should have called the broker and told them to repower the entire load instead of sitting on it,

Days late, and your the one upset?!
    Wow!
If you can't find a rental, just hire someone to pull the trailer for you then.
    But get it delivered.
They may not have cared if you really tried and it was only 12 hours late, but days late is BS.

I realize this is an old thread but I've run into this with Walmart in Harrisonville, MO before. They'd reject the whole load, usually cukes, for whatever reason. The broker would reschedule it and we'd bring the same exact load back where they would happily accept it.

I'd think as long as there were no quality problems with the fruit, they'd never know the difference. Oranges are fairly hardy aren't they? I've never hauled them before.

this is why I haul cars. I load and unload at my pace and don't have to make appointments to unload.

You think your immune toi claims?
Unless you pull enclosed auto transport....
Those cars get scratched, and dented. Windshields etc....

I know I know....You guys are exonerated from damage due to force majeure (Acts of God and public)
    And still get paid right?

    FlaSwampRat and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Just get a flatbed . i had 1 damage claim but it was my fault, didnt put edge prtorectors on trim board.and bent it all to hell . best part is they still took all the #### off the trailer and just noted it on BOL. I apologized more than once and they were cool about it. Them reefer places and warehouses man they seem like real pricks from the stories i hear about reject loads. Ive heard guys getting rejected cuz there was a tiny hole in the box or stupid stuff like that.just seems like a major headache if u ask me

I buy and sell quite a few cars and have has several of those enclosed companies #### cars up, those guys are literally the worst for the most part. It's such a small segment that they can pretty much do whatever they please and get away with it because the options of using someone else is very limited.
