WOW - Things have changed in a very short time. In early 2010 I had a 2 stop furniture row load to IA out of Denver, CO On my last stop a nice guy walked out of the building said "wow you backed in their with out a problem, our own drivers have a little challenge with this store" I kind of chuckled he asked how long I have been doing this. We get to talking he asks if I would be interested in coming to work for Furniture row.. He says "The Denver Guys cry if the can't get home on every weekends and he would really like someone who would stay out atleast 2 weeks in a row. He told me it was all private freight out and a very rare back haul, that they started to get loads going back... I asked what he would pay he told me .48cpm I told him I wouldn't do it for less the .52 he said OKAY. I took his card but not called him back, Seemed like a good gig, just happy where i'm at..

I'm back from time off guys I had a real real busy time off. I called monday morning on my way into atlanta and sign up to go to load up my truck but never called me. I had a load I was supposed to pick up at 1 pm in the daytime. I didn't get back to my truck to 130. I've been through everything in the truck in and drove off without organiztion anything. after a while in the truck I realized I forgot my microphone. I picked up the international paper now I'm sitting in little rock arkansas. I didn't finish till 5 am this morning. this load delivers Thursday at 10 am in denver so somebody's gonna be switching with me between now and tomorrow. I'm still waiting on my total miles there seems to be in a good I never got the emails that the payroll was supposed to send. I wanna total of my miles for the last month and then do my review.

by the way I was really happy to see a load right away coming off home time that something that never happen with May trucking

 

I had to overnight on this load from Waterloo to Denver, only because Tyson didn't have it loaded until midnight. Ill be up at 0200 to make it in to Denver for delivery at 0600. Then second stop at 0900 then off to Transwest Freightliner to get a freon and air leak fixed.

Since I have come out last Thursday through tomorrow's delivery, I will have driven 3300 miles. Not a bad week. I don't know if that was Vickie's way of saying goodbye or not

 

I been rolling hard also up at 330 for another run to shipper.
