Seems this Tennessee guy has a bug up his ### about FROW... I have been here two weeks and have not seen anything better or worse than most OTR companies..
First week good miles, second week not so good... BUT they were good on their word about getting me home...
So far I thing they are a pretty good company. I have seen better, and I have seen worse....

This is a OTR company. They have their ups and downs. It is just how you take it is what makes it a place for you. I like it here not I have had my bad times as I have posted them here too. But as any place you go it is what you are willing to except and work with. This place is not for everyone. Make the best of it and don't simmer on the bad.

The only issue I had with them was the 1500-1800 weeks that started after my 4th month, I am now running a consistent 3000-3200 miles every week, our trucks average 525 miles a day, but you can do that when running a dr van, unload in the morning, reload in the morning and still drive 400-500 miles before clock is up. The net increase in miles has equated to an extra $532.00 a week coming home. The info I put up here about the wrecks etc etc is for info purposes only, that is what this forum is for right? SO based on my experience I am once again going to most the good and bad points:
Good Points at FRE:
Friendly Staff
A True Open Door Policy
Willing to fix an issue
Money is good (Checks dont Bounce)
Very nice trucks
Never missed one hometime request
They have accounts with Blue Beacon, T/A, Petro and you don't have to fool around with some breakdown flunky
and now the bad points.................
The bad Point of FRE:
Very limited freight base for a company with 120+ trucks
2 of their biggest customers are infamous for delays and screwing drivers over which in the end pulls benjamins out of their drivers pockets.
Their maintainance programs leaves a lot to be desired,
Their freight is very inconsistent its either feast or famine, so if you have a big paycheck save half of it because you never know when the next streak of 1500-1800 mile weeks are going to hit. Which would not happen if they had a broader freight base.
They haul a lot of broker freight, this may work work for some people.
Now after reading these points, and you are intersted call the recruiter, I am sure they can find a spot for you. Now to address an earlier post I do have a bug up my butt about FRE. I gave them time to fix my issues and it didn't happen, so I moved on. But why do I still post on here the same reason the other 50,000 members do, and the same reason you guys do, We are truck drivers we thrive on conflict .
trucker43 Thanks this. -
I feel the same way in pay and miles but that was my problem w May Trucking not Frow. this week has been awful for me but I'm still making money May Trucking cost me money to work there. It could be alot worse. I like it here.
holycow Thanks this. -
I agree the miles seems to come in spurts but at least FRE pays a driver what their worth. Even on an 1800 mile week I'm still able to clear approximatley $425 even after taking all of the allotted weekly advance. I know people working for other carriers who have to run more miles to get that. This is trucking so we all know the variables and the fact that we are never going to get rich at it.

Had to get a Tire Replaced on Trailer 0002. Looks like it's got a couple more bad ones as well.
Also need a new Steer for the Left Side.
Bad Alignment did that one in. I got it aligned but still its getting worse. Wanted to get it done in New Albany to save them a couple bucks, not like I'll ever get there. -
i love it here.they know u by name.u can send jon or ruby or don or mark an e-mail and they respond back if u have a reason to call.they have lousy trlrs but we have hopes that that will get better.at least we have an open door to get them fixed with out going threw all the red tape.i manage my own fuel and my truck as far as service and repairs.i pick what road i drive on.the pay is good[every company has slow weeks]if u do have a slow week jon tries to make up for it and is aware its slow.i love it here and will defend it to anyone who talks trash about it.no matter what another driver says about fre they are not going to discourage me about it.and one more thing they have wanderful fleet managers who really care about their drivers.there are some really good people here that really try to take care of us.its like having an extended family.but like dan said its not for everyone.it is for drivers who are responsable and know how to take care of buisness and want to work hard.one more thing, sometimes they have no control over the freight so they have to be stressed because freight is to slow or to fast.sometimes drivers dont want to run when freight is heavy and sometimes drivers want to quit when it is slow,so it is a thankless job to those who are in the office trying to hold things together...i couldnt do their job and keep my sanity so i try to make things easier and just do my job and stay out of their way so they can do theirs

I'm just like you holycow, I love it here... I've been with them since the 15th of February now and Yes, some weeks have been slow, but, I've pretty much been consistant on miles... Love the trucks, hate the most of the trailers, and I love the fact that I can get whatever fixed without having to go through a lot of red tape to do it... Not many companies will do what they have set up with TA/Petro's, in fact, I've never heard of another company that does... I also love the fact that dispatch doesn't micro-manage everything that you do, a lot of companies out here do... Once I get a load, they leave me alone to run it like I want to...
holycow, trucker43, Daniel.trawick and 1 other person Thank this. -
They sent me to Seabrook to PU with an XTra Lease Trailer. R02.
Can't believe I still have that thing.
I told them it will prolly be too heavy.
We will see.
