Alright,
I set a date for the 10th to come on out. Im excited and nervous because don doesnt know if i will be able to get home for christmas or not.. And its my first christmas as a dad.. So i kinda wanted to be here but we have bills pilling up.. So gotta do what i gotta do.
I have a few more questions.
1. How long is orientation and i think i read, no orientation pay, right?
2. What all restraunts are really close to the hotel?
3. Do i get lunch or anything while im in orientation and doing the interview?
4. What should i expect from this "interview"? I always get nervous at interviews.
5. Whats the road test like?
6. Lastly.. How old is don? His voice makes him seem older.. -
No 2nd question I can't remember.
They will buy you lunch during orentation. When it is over then you have to get your own.
Just talk about yourself. They just want to know about you. Nothing to worry about.
Road test for me was nothing. Just driving around town.
I think Don is in his 60's. he is a old O/O. Very good guy all around. -
you're asking a lot of questions it really don't have a lot to do with anything. do the interview sit and orientation enjoy the ride. your over thinking it too much buddy. don and mark in Denver pretty cool guys you like them. Don is the best, very level headed and funny. Pay attention or you will miss it. I ordered Chinese and pizza delivered when i stayed. yeah and Don is so old he use to pull trailers with Dinosaurs.
holycow Thanks this. -
There is a Ruby Tuesday's and a fancy Italian place if they put you in the La Quinta.

Alright,
Thanks for answering my questions. I ask all these questions to be fully prepared and to come in knowing what to expect. Last time i didnt ask a lot of questions at shaffer.. I was quite surprised on more than a few
Once again, thanks for answering my questions. If anyone is around tje yard next week. Ill be there and would be happy to talk at ya!Daniel.trawick Thanks this. -
Dark_Majesty - I understand your apprehension about coming into a new job. FRE really is what you make of it. It is a smaller company with a more open door/hands on mentality. Since it appears your coming from Shaffer I can tell that this place isn't ANYTHING like there. Here you are a name not a truck number. And, you are given the freedom to make your own decisions within reason. Most of the people here are decent and just trying to make a living just like you. Just remember just like every other trucking company out there this one has its bumps but they are not as bad as most stories I've heard in regards to other companies out there. Good Luck.
holycow Thanks this.
