Now we are going to get a $25/month cell phone reimbursement. Just got a fleet wide message this morning about it.

 

Thats awesome.. I only pay 50 a month for my phone.. So they will be paying half!

 

I'd rather them put a fridge in my Pete than give me $25 per month for my cell phone, but maybe that's just me. I'm picking up right now in new century, ks headed to Memphis, tn. Deadheaded down here today from Omaha after I delivered this morning. Still waiting on the planners to reschedule the delivery appointment because I won't make their 0600 original. Then they put one on me picking up from new Albany, ms Greenville, sc on the fifth at 0800. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to do the second one. We'll see what happens.

 

Oh, i thought petes had fridges in them? I guesd that was jyst cornados.. Seems like the really spec'd out those cornados but got bare bone petes and cascadias.. I was kyst told i got a pete waiting on me and it seems don has all the empty trucks fillex.. So i will be hanging out in denver this weekend. Wish i had the extra $$ to go over to bass pro and go scout the area out.

 

Yeah, the Coranados are really nice trucks. The Petes are very basic. They bought the Petes specifically for CA compliance when they had an account running Pet Food from Aurora, NE to CA. But we all see how well that account fared. Now they are stuck with Petes with swamp cooler type APU's on them all because of CA.

 

Too bad i missed out on that account. My dream job would be picking up fromy nearest chicken plant.. Running out to portland or spokane,wa.. Turning and burning back with a broker load to the house. I love the nw and west in general but my dad had a run like that for years and i always wanted something simular. Its hard to find any companies here lately with freight out west. Then again i would be happy running from chicago to salt lake and back.. At least to me, the drive woulf never get old.. Unless my truck only ran 61... O_O

i made it to la porte tx to nocs yesterday.went to check in at 0515 this morning thinking i would get a jump on everyone only to see 10 other drivers who arrived at 0400 sitting in lawn chairs.i was empty 12 hrs later.planners reschedualed my load comming out of here for 0800 tomorrow.its nice down here[86 degrees yesterday]so i was in no hurry to leave.heading to ft.collins tommorrow after i get my load.thx to daniel i checked my truck inspection only to find out it was expired on the 1st of dec.gonna have to get that taken care of and watch it a little closer.i always check the trlr forgot the truck

 

You should have went to work for Tyson then, I worked there 10 years, AR. drivers got the pick of west coast freight, living where you do .
