It has gotten really bad here in Lincoln. Really windy and alot of blowing snow. The hotel had an in house happy hour deal going so I at least got something to eat.....and did I mention free beer???

 

I was snowed in the Love's there in 2009 as well for almost 3 long days.

 

Hope so. I am tired ......

 

Weird weather here.. We had tornado watchez last night and 61 degrees. Now its 39 outside with 20-45mph wind. Not to mention the wind has knocked power out for A LOT of us here in arkansas.. No power and electric heaters suck.. I knew i should have invested in wood heat.

 

Well the I 80 is/was closed so I am stuck in Lincoln for another day. Will try again tomorrow morning.

Shoemakers Corner was a parking lot this morning! Even down the middle of Highway 6, which was also closed just past Crete Carriers place.

 

That must be a sight. Just be lucky you arent up at the flyin hook. I was there one winter after it had snowed and that place was so packed, once you got it.. It was nearly impossible to get out. At least shoe maker has decent food and theres that motel across the street with decent rates.

 

I 80 is still closed over most of NE. Crazy weather. Hope everyone is safe and warm.

 

wow;i left auaora this morning after I-70 east opened up.the roads were good all the way to tx.the weather was 5 degrees when i left and its 53 here in tx.

 

Yeah, it was cold in Aurora over night but was 39 when I left this morning. At least the snow wasn't nearly as bad as originally anticipated.

 

Looks to be open but icy now, so I will hit it again in the morning. My flight home to Texas doesnt leave Denver until Sunday night at 2030 hrs so I should be just fine.
