Any of you guys know what the Deal is with the Idaho Oversize Permit for 53ft Trailers?
I was under the impression it was needed/required, but FM seems clueless.

Not sure what the other than national network means. -
by that law your allowed 75 ft. Don't think we have anything over that.
-
Swift has some trailers that are 58ft do they not? Perhaps that is why you had that permit.
-
If you're coming south out of Courd de alene in Oregon you have to get a permit I ran into that a few times but they give oyu leeway on your weight if you have to snug up to make the limits
-
Well just by looking at that link with a motor vehicle and trailer you are allow 75 feet before being over length. I can see you being over that if you have a 58' trailer.
-
if u are on an interstate u dont need an oversize permit on any 53' trlr in any state.if u are on a secondary road u may need an oversize permit for that area u are running in.that is so dot can monitor truck trafic on those roads.
