ya things seem to change without notice. I'm still going to call Bridgestone and put new until they hand out a policy on it. As far as the shocks no one. Said when or even if we should change them. I have seen shocks on the trl's almost rusted off. Just going to do what I can on the road and keep the bills below 1k so I don't have the hassle of the shops calling someone that doesn't answer. Might sound petty but you gotta do what ya got to do. Don't want to risk my csa over some if these things.
-
The miles on shocks comes from owning my own trucks and trailers. If you follow the 100k mile rule, you shouldn't ever have blown, rusted through, or completely shot shocks. A lot of drivers don't realize how important they are. I hear ya on the csa thing Daniel. It is most definitely not worth it. I had to replace a light on the trailer I have. It had a clearance light that had the housing broken and the cover was gone so the bulb was exposed. DOT won't let that fly any more. It is very petty and stupid, since it was an led that lit up red even without the cover, but rules are rules.

Hmm i had a clearance light replaced also far left one of 3 on back doors

I found out about the shocks mileage from frogman. I had heard other ops talk about it. But didn't think too much about it. But glad I did change them. As far as the other stuff I didn't want to sound petty but I am sure I did...lol. But with all the new rules coming about it is no longer what the company wants. It is becoming what the driver wants to risk. I'm getting old and did too much risk taken in my past jobs. Besides keeping a clean record just means you are wanted anywhere they need a driver. Up next is trying to get the top end done so I can get my mpg back up. With some other repairs so when I come back out from home time I will hopefully not need a shop for the next 12k miles.

With trl's I have been finding less and less stuff wrong so in that aspect it has been getting better. ( hope I didn't jinks myself by saying this) lol.
-
Dan, how many miles do you have on your Coronado that you need a top end done on?
I assume this will be done under warranty?? -
All the engine warranties on the Coronados are done. Overheads should be done approximately 100k miles or so from I've heard. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.
-
They only got a 100k warranty on the trucks when they got them. Yes they found out later that wasn't smart...lol. But every 100k it should be done. I am setting at 282000 right now and will be almost 300k by the time I get back to Denver.
Bumper Thanks this. -
picked up trlr 2155.one of the resent new, used trlrs.inspection done last month and i have low air pressure on the front inside, passenger side duals.i have no way of putting air in the tire because it is one of those ones that has the leveler so all tires are the same.well all tires are not the same because this tire is low.i have hose to air it up but cant air it up because of the tube that runs from the other tire.so after i am loaded i will have to find a ta and let them figure it out.
