Are you guys APUs keping up in 95-100+ degree heat?

Not sure the official high today but Forecast called for 99. And it wasn't really keeping up.

This climacab APU doesn't work so I have been idling. The APU in truck 202 would freeze you out if you set it low enough.

I don't log off for nobody.neither do I run illegal.if Tyson wants these loads on time then they need to get us loaded on time.i am not going to bail them out and run illegal.if something happens while I am logged off its my carrier.not worth it.there is a reason DOT is cracking down but they are looking in the wrong place.they need to crack down on time sensitive loads.not fair to the driver that our job is on the line for these people who don't care about us,just their freight.they don't care about fre or their drivers.unfair and if they think I am going to run illegal for them...NOT...ill do what I can the best I know how to do it but not taking chances for them.my services are for fre not Tyson or any other company.if I am late its on them...just a raw nerve of mine that they have exposed

well I made it. I'm parked in front of the gate at Amarillo Budweiser. After I unload I'm heading over to the TA to have the truck air system looked at. Its not keeping high enough pressure cor my likes.

think i am beginning to see the flaws now in the planning/fm dept..after the cancelled load last night Greg gets me a load of eggs going from SD back to CO this morning. with a sat del 8-2 FCFS he sends me a note asking me when i can del this load told him i can del on sat no prob. he comes back and says i cannot make it on time and ask me again when i can del so fine i tell him Monday 0800. says he will work on resetting the appt for Monday.

Great now i am thinking i am stuck with only 652 miles for the weekend again like last weekend.

Run down to the pick up after i get loaded i call him with a question about the load. now he asks me if i can still Del on Sat i say yes i can and then he sticks another Beer load on me going back to Moorhead Mn for Monday again.

Geez guess he did not believe me when i told him the first time i could Deliver this load on time and legally.

AC on my APU is messed up anyway.
Sometimes it wont work...and apparently it shuts off sometimes also.
I mean the AC Compressor cuts off it will keep blowing just not cold air.
Just woke up its 84 inside the truck.

Most likely it is running low on Freon. Might need to have it checked for a leak.

So far the Idle Free is treating me ok, just wish it had a little more user control.

I'm at the Petro in York getting two more tires fixed on this trailer. I caught something yesterday in one of them and the inside one has some flat spots I didn't notice before. That's three tires on this trailer so far.

On really hot days, I have found shutting the middle curtain helps a lot. It cuts the amount on space down to almost half. The windshield and the skylight let in a lot of heat. I also have my upper bunk down. Not only great for the storage space, but helps trap some of the cooler air. Lastly, I have a good 12v fan running at the same time. You can direct the air flow straight to you. I found a good one at Garden City Travel Plaza there near Holcomb.
