34 in GI, My load is ready going to roll tomorrow then delivery AMC in La Porte, Sun.

 

so any else sitting around this weekend ? after having my pre plan load revised 4 times in 24 hours. I am now sitting in Altoona IA after Delivering my AB load in Des Moines IA this morning . Waiting on a Tyson load that does not pick up till Monday afternoon and delivers back in Denver on Wed.

Guess its a slow week for everybody. Over here at JBS carriers. I finished my restart and was hoping for a load today but all I have is a 400 mile dh to Grand Island and a load going to Houston and San Antonio picking up tmrw for Monday and Tuesday. Would of complained, but I get to go by the house. So a 1400 mile week is what I'll be looking at. Thankful for the last two 3,000 mile weeks which don't happen very often.

I tried to stay busy over thanksgiving but that went down the drain when AB decided to shut down the plant early and boot everyone off.
so far this week i am making more money from Layovers and Detention then i am from hauling actual freight lol.

but on the bright side i finally got outta truck 404 now in 223 but then again i have been in commerce city at the ta all day getting the pm service done since it was over due by 8k miles, while they were doing that found a leaking wheel seal. and also the DOT insp was expired too.

when and if i get outta here supposed to go back to AB and continue the holding pattern for my load to Council Bluffs IA.

Ok last week had a load showing 6am delivery get to AMC and they say its 9am, NOT 6am. So I started my clock at 5am, first to the place when they open. Unloaded at 1130 then working my 14 and dragging.

Wed day before thanksgiving give a heads up to my DM "Hey if there is no load just let me know and i will go to COS or visit Scott for Thanksgiving. Get back to my truck on way to deliver wed and PPL for pu wed night or thu tell 1100. I show up thu 9am and they are CLOSED!!!
I go back to johnson corner and wait tell next day, call receiver and shipper both say that load is not valid!! I send msg over QC that this is not right and another load back to back poor information one Conagra/AMC other now AB. Can it be?? why? I just want to fix the problem! Anyone else having false loads or bogus delivery times? I am not blaming FROW directly. We need to do a better job catching things like this, the extra step helps us as a company not just an individual. My DM is under the impression that I think its all our Planning Dept fault. That is not the case, but they are the ones to fix it! Lets put it like this, you are at an airport, you board the plane, you check in and go threw all check points but now must sit in the plane on the seat for another 3 hours before you take off! Would you want to burn up your vacation time sitting? Same thing making money with bad appointment times. Frustrates me how people cant see that, guess it has to do with you never been in a truck to know. Rant out!

 

yeah AB sucked this week altogether. Plat at least you showed up after they closed. I was there when they closed the plant down at 2115 wed night. and booted everyone off the property. load or no load in my case which i finally got this morning(sun) now waiting to deliver in the AM in Council Bluffs IA.

 

Dang, sounds like you guys went through all kinds of grief this week... I went home for Thanksgiving, will be coming back out Tuesday... Wanted to give some of you family guys the option of being home for Christmas, especially you guys with young kids...
