for starters; what kind of antenna are u running? don't use cb antenna's that are already on the truck, they're more than likely worthless, especially if they are from the factory. use francis, or predator, monkey made is good, stay away from stryker out of okc. go to a cb shop that does installs & have them run u a single coax to either mirror (like factory but much better coax), run single antenna, dual antenna's do nothing but hurt each other. u got all ur power going thru 2 coax's so ur power is cut in half & not much power being pushed thru, where as a single coax, when u key up all the power is going thru 1 coax lead, now u are doing something

I was at the cb shop here in Dallas. He couldn't get my swr below 3. Put in a France's with a 18 foot coax and got a 1.8 but didn't have the cash on hand to pay for that. So I'll just get it down the road and install myself. Just frustrated that what I had on the Pete which I had set at a 1.2 swr didn't work on the Freightliner.

i know if u have a humming noise in the background u could run a ground wire from antenna bracket to frame or something. how long was the francis antenna? sometimes on a francis changing the length of it will drop ur swr's or adding a spring to it will do it as well. just something i've experienced in the past.

No noise in it was a 4 1/2 foot France's. I'll get it up to par soon. Just didn't think it would be that much of a difference from a 386 Pete to a Coronado.

They are filling up tucks fast. 6 this week and 7 for next week. I've heard that might put them at capacity.

Daymn, that is nice. I am sure someone will leave before then but that does say something when they have almost every truck filled
