Best comment of this thread. Barney unloaded the company to save him money. FRE has no accounts that celadon didn't already have or could get with ease. Celadon didn't buy FRE for equipment or drivers. Why would they need drivers with their school pumping out drivers for them. I don't know for sure but I would bet that Barney was getting tired of the bs and money loss with FRE and put it up for sell. FRE had nothing else any company would go trying to buy for. The trl's except for a few where crap. Look at the meat plants you will see celadon already in them. Tyson, jbs swift ( which is also pilgrims) and both at coors( which FRE didn't have a account for) and Budweiser.

Fre was put up for sell simple as that. As for me I'm not sorry to hear. FRE needed of the highways anyway and it is safer with them off the road.

 

They are sure not wasting any time getting the new trucks switched over, deal was only announced last week
