Welp made it through Orientation, Only took a week, when they re-ran my Dac and MVR stuff they forgot to order a Cali MVR only took 4 extra days to get ugh
Left Indy last Tuesday with a load from Con Agra Indy to Americold Atlanta Ga Delivered that load then got dispatched to Birmingham AL yesterday to repower another load going to Americold Atlanta and now sitting here at the Petro in Atlanta waiting for the next load.
also sitting here now waiting for a call back from Celadon Payroll to see where my first check (orientation pay) is nothing on my comdata card and nothing show up at the bank this morning.
even tho i have seen the settlement sheet saying that I got it. So far 4.5 days on the road for Celadon and only 817 miles so far.
So far while in Orientation one hiccup occured over the pets deal. Seemed Celadon was only going to allow to pets under 50 lbs. when this occurred had about about 5 FRE drivers ready to pack there stuff and leave. But they quickly changed there minds and Safety decided to review pets on a case by case basis allowing dogs over 50 lbs but no aggressive breeds.
and in talking to a couple other FRE drivers that i am keeping in contact with there about in the same boat right now too. Seems from what i have heard and seen they putting all of us FRE drivers on a new separate board and supposed to be getting dispatched from Omaha until the merger is complete. This process is slower than i imagined. And do not see this happening to the other Temp Control Drivers either.
Hopefully things get going in the right direction soon here.

Yeah looks like i am ending my First pay period with a hair over 2100 miles. (Celadon dispatched miles) Just completed a load from Claremont NC to Laredo TX today. now waiting for a load back northbound.
might as well get used to the short miles since Celadon is like a lot of big companies and use the Rand Mcnally HHG to figure miles. the other day i was in Atlanta GA dropping my first load. There were no mts there so they empty moved me to the Conley GA drop yard for one, 23 mile trip in the real world but only got paid for 8 miles lol
I am averaging 7.4 MPG talk to a few of the other Drivers that were with us in Orientation and there averaging about the same.
I am with you on the Progressive shift software being enabled. it needs to go and it is present in all gears tho not just the lower gears.I found this out the hard way. -
Cybergasm; They will need to adjust my pay, or this will likely be a deal killer... We were supposed to be income neutral on this... Furthermore, I was routed 981 miles, but they want to pay for only 905 of those miles... This is theft in my book (involentary servitude)... I don't have a problem with progressive shifting, but if I leave the tranny in a certain gear, I likely have a reason for doing so... On ice, this will be a safety threat... My 7.2 might have something to do with bucking a strong headwind for a number of miles with a heavy load of paper... I was impressed with the numbers at any rate... I have a shot at $1150 GUARANTEED a week hauling aerospace mostly utilizing the Conestoga tarp system out of my home area!!! I have hazmat, and oversize experience... Pulling a flat, step, or double drop would not be a big problem for me... I would get home often; I live about 50 miles from the aircraft factories...
