    I also see great trucks that are not run down pulling cans. & some has been doing it for a while now,atleast in my state.

    Same here heavy dude,i'm with you on this. I'v been an o/o almost 4yrs now & love it. I don't even think about being company driver again.

    I glad your doing ok, many O/O's are making money day after day even tho the naysayers say it can't be done. This is a tough gig and if you don't know what your doing it will bankrupt ya quick.

    I'm loving these posts. I'm a dreamer as well, and I'm in the researching stages. Everyone thinks theres no money in trucking, but it's bull. I'm currently a company driver and a former co-worker has recently went O/O. He short hauls btrain tankers for a local bunch, make 2-3 trips a day, runs a legal log, home 3-4 nights a week and weekends off. He started with an older truck but within 6 months went and got brand spankin new pete. Says he's makin a good living, alot more than he was making as my co-worker.

    I also was a dreamer and wanted to drive/buy a truck, ect. I did it~with hard work and luck. It can be done.
