Most everyone is for the plant. Biden said it's a great jobs plan for American workers. So, where are the American workers? 100's of illegals rounded up that aren't even supposed to be in the USA. All those arrested were holding jobs promised to Americans.Deere hunter, Flat Earth Trucker, Siinman and 5 others Thank this.

So blame the governor. For almost 20 years Georgia has had laws on the books giving local officials the ability to enforce immigration laws, which strangely go unused.
This isn't a problem created, continued, or abetted by Democrats alone. It's a problem where corporate interests undercut laws. Evers got a lot of attention with his comments about how undocumented workers are critical to Wisconsin's economy, but take a look into what Walker did to make that a reality. -
475 individuals is a whole entire morning or afternoon shift. I'm wondering what Hyundia is going to do in order of making replacing all those employees? I'd understand that their HR Department would have a lot of work ahead if it was 20 employees to replace while keeping operations going. But 475 people working production will definitely hit their annual profit projections goal if any goal is achieved for the fiscal year quota. Strikes affect companies with these kind of numbers which is why Colllective Agreements are aimed to be establish quick. However, trying to establish temporary workers through job agencies and most possibly haven't the training becomes a logistical nightmare for even smaller production factories. Hyundia's Upper Mangement and Board of Directors must be having extreme anxiety and panic attacks from this alone. Talk sbout things amalgamating quickly.

More than 100 undocumented immigrants worked at [take a guess] Bedminster resort during construction: report”

To blame anyone is ridiculous.
Fact is the last three presidents deported an amazing amount of illegals. Maybe the current one is trying to outdo Obama who was known as the “deporter in chief” with all the pro immigration groups riding his caboose.
The only difference in any of them was they way they were handled. Our current one rounds up ones suspected of being illegal and sorts it out later. The two previous targeted known illegals.
Fact is there’s only so much our court system can handle and we don’t have unlimited resources to handle the problem either.
All in all they always seem to deport about the same amount. -
South Korean workers detained in a US immigration raid in Georgia will be released
`
The 475 detained South Korean workers in a massive immigration raid at a Hyundai plant in Georgia are to be released and flown home. -
475 arrested and a little over 300 getting flown home on a South Korean charter plane.
Wonder what the discrepancy is. Wonder how many were employed legally but had visa’s that expired. Not uncommon for foreign projects like this to include foreign laborers..
Those people didn’t just swim to our borders they were let in on some type of visa. -
As long as they weren't of the rooftop variety.

From what i read, most came here on visitor visas which don't allow them to work. But they were given jobs anyway as they were Koreans.
Concorde and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.
