That doesn't make any sense... You stated that "Gadfly is just stating the law" in which I agree, but he is also stating the law with the intent to accuse people who use CB radios or people who use a CB radio that is modified of being ignorant and stupid people... You use a CB radio right?

oh wait a minute...

YOU USIN' ONE OF THEM THAR CB REDDIO'S IN THAT THAR CARRRR?

Sorry... but since you use a CB, you couldn't possibly understand anything else written in this post unless it was broken down into small words right?

I do believe some hams would like to have their old band back, and are mad it was ever taken even though most probably were not even born when it was.

 

BUT THEY DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME ON 99.999% of hams.

It is not going to happen and even if the FCC gave in how do you relocate 5 MILLION Cb radios ??????

Well you COULD ...... and here is how ......

You put MURS in every CB radio that is made EVEN EXPORT SETS ...... You rase the power from 2 watts to 50 watts ..... AND allow Cbers to get the hang of good FM vhf radio ......

Today on MURS with a good setup you CAN get 10 - 15 miles base to car .. even with 2 watts 50 watts would make that 20 or more miles ... I can work a car at 30 miles on 2 meters with 50 watts.

REMEMBER MURS HAS NO LIMITS ON ANTENNA GAIN ! YES YOU CAN PUT UP 4 stacked 20 elm beams LEGALY and run a 6 db gain wip on your car !
You are limited to 2 watts OUTPUT from the radio.

Will this happen ...... well it's not beyond the relm of things that could but we need a rule change from banning MURS in CB radios to requireing it !

The FCC has never been able to do anything about any of the stuff they are complaining about and it never will. Years ago I used to hear the CB nerds yapping about guys getting busted for illegal radios and such but it was all B.S.
These are guys with WAY too much time on their hands and they amuse me.

 

Remember grade school? There would be a hall monitor appointed and sometimes an overzealous little boy that nobody liked to start with would go overboard? Well fast forward several years and you now have those same little irritating self appointed hall monitors still doing their thing and still despised.......

Your about my age so we went to school about the same time .... mid 50's.

You remember duck and cover you know when that H-Bomb goes off you get under your desk .....

You might even remember the DOG-tags we had so that when they recovered our charred bodys they could give them back to our dads .... I always wonder about that since our dads would have been a second charred pile .....

You can also remember in the early days of CB radio the receivers were so bad you didn't even have to tune them they covered all 23 ch at the same time.

Your right on the hall monitors they grew up to be the person who keeps calling zoneing on my antennas and the danger my dachshund dog is to the local kids ...

They are alive and well on some ham forums ...

As for my dog she would not wast her time biteing one of these jerks she just lets me know they are there ..... so her Daddy can shoot his butt .....
