    Simple.

Download KeepTruckin app, enter your drive times, and see what it says..

    This made me laugh. Again.
If it's a real situation and I feel like it is not. The answer is simple... midnight is not a "Magic" time. You gain hrs back on your 70 hr week not simply your drive line.
Had a couple Saskatchewan drivers well I assumed they were up north. Talking about having 8 hrs to drive. "It says 8 hours" yells the one. I'm certain they were missing the 30 minute break of course. Little things make you chuckle sometimes.

    You can't drive from this point because you have exceeded your 14 hour rule. 6.5 + 3.0 + 2.0 + 5.5 = 17
You broke through your 14 after passing the 2.5 hours during the 5.5 sleep, you should have stayed in sleeper another 2.5 hours then you could have driven 2.5 hours then take a 2.0 hour break and then be legal to drive 8.5 hours. I am assuming you understand the required .5 break before the eighth hour driving.
