For my money, and I made quite a bit when I ran for Gainey...It would have to be......you guessed it, Gainey.

Don't get me wrong, all is NOT roses when it comes to GTS, but if I HAD to go OTR again, I'd consider Gainey as one of the few I'd drive for again.

As far a Harvey Gainey getting rid of Owner Operators...it just doesn't surprise me. He was famous for having a sour taste in his mouth where O/Os were concerned. He only had a handful of O/Os when I worked there (less than 5 that I know of) and they all ran like company drivers would...forced dispatch. This is probably where the O/O problem was IMO...refusing loads and so forth.

Don't get me wrong on this...I'm NOT defending Harvey Gainey or how he might or might not be treating Owner Operators. Just passing on some general knowledge.

They are going down to 66 and if you average a good idle you stay there, if you don't you go down to 62. I hear many companies are doing it.

My husband drove for Celadon and we like the company. Unfortunately we had two deaths back to back and He had to leave the company. Now he wanted to return, but they won't take him back. So whatever you do.....if you decide to go with Celadon...the benefits are good...from the "wife point of view". Good home time.

I've heard mixed reviews about Celadon. Some drivers hate it and they're not getting any miles. Others like it and are getting plenty of miles. One of my friends drives team and they're always busy running back and forth either to/from CA or to/from TX.

I did hear they were having staffing issues with their Mexico division but that was from another driver and not anyone in the office so take that at face value.

I would have to say celadon Gainey used to be a decent company but they were a bit lacking in the maintenance department
