I'm running a 33hp2 with a Wilson 2000 & new coax, Telex RK56 mike, and an ext. speaker. I never get any kind of squealing or distorted feedback when transmitting, but sometimes the talk back is MUCH louder (without adjusting mic gain, of course. It does it on all three power settings, whether I'm driving or stationary. Anybody got any ideas or advice? I'd be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

Who worked on it? Solution varies by tech.
-
I'm not sure who performed the channel kit, but I'm pretty sure that nothing else has been done to it as far as power or modulation mods.

I run the same radio and mine will sound extremely muffled every now and again.
-
Do you have any idea what the cause is?
-
Not really. It's pretty sporadic. The only common factor I can speak of is when I change between the Bands or switch from high, medium or low power. After I change any of those settings the TalkBack gets very garbled and/or muffled and even then it is not constant it comes and goes. It will do it for about a week or so and then perform as it should. While the symptom is occurring I asked others how my audio sounds and there are no reports of garbled muffled Transmissions.

Sounds just like mine. Thanks

No problem brother. If you happen to resolve the issue please repost in the thread so I can advise my technician, likewise I will do the same.

Sounds like a plan, for sure.

Has anyone ever had problems where it randomly sounds like your stuck between channels while transmitting with this radio?
