Those games are all cheap now, go buy em. Or heck, download em. They're practically public domain now anyway.

They're hard to find and downloading them off p2p services results in poor quality or viruses or both. recently downloaded simcity 3000 and got both. :(

That's why you use a bt site with a comments section for each torrent. Find the one with a couple hundred positive comments and you know you got the right one. I haven't used p2p since napster got shut down 10 years ago.

Many console games are limited in functionality. Unlike their PC brothers.

While DAO follows much of the same story line, the console versions are crippled.

Constant upgrades for a PC ?? I could build one tomorrow that wouldn't need a single upgrade for 3-4 years, if then. Although I would have enough $$$ in it to buy a new console every year for the next 4 or 5 years.

Our biggest problem regarding upgrades, is the actual OS. Consoles rarely have OS issues. They just get replaced by the latest "upgrade" in gaming system. I haven't owned a console since "Legend of Zelda: Link To The Past"

Just as consoles benefited from PC hardware design. PC's are benefiting from console design. Graphics acceleration was the primary issue...that is no longer the case.

And I have yet to see a console that could handle an F-16 flight sim with the same functionality as a PC.

Driver, you are right, but constant upgrades are needed to play the LATEST games all the time.

Its much simpler to just not play the latest games. Then you can go years without an upgrade.

You know what pisses me off? Console games have really gone to #### the last few years. I remember a game in particular that i had on the xbox, "Big Mutha Truckers" (lol), crashed constantly.

I play console because they dont crash. But this game crashed all the time. Worse than windows.

Must be nice to be so ignorant as to think that BT is not p2p.

    You can fake comments.

The games I was downloading arent ones that normal people would download. Very hard to find high quality ones. Sim City 3000? Old as hell. :)

Oh ok, thanks for the insult. Won't waste my time finding a copy for you then. And you know what I meant by p2p.

I'm so po' I can't afford the latest games, every time they come out. Let alone the upgrades in PC hardware. :biggrin_2559:

Actually, I play a very limited number of games. The good RPG's are my bread and butter. There hasn't been a stand alone game worth playing since Ice Windale. So it has been several years and many computers between games for me.

Speaking of hardware upgrades..... I checked out a new motherboard for $799 :biggrin_25524: It's gonna be a few weeks before I talk the wife into letting me do that one LOL. I'm thinking I can bribe her with that 42" flat screen she's been drooling over LMAO

LOL you have me intrigued. WoW is getting rather old. You can only quest so many times before the game gets tiring, plus there are 8 year olds in there cursing you because they have better gear and dont like the way you play. Pffft just a game.

This is why I avoid online gaming. It doesn't matter how good your rig is, some idiot has a bigger, better, faster setup, and is gonna scream and whine about how you are slowing their game down. Well, excuse the snot out of me, but I gotta work for my money. I don't have mommy and daddy buying me all the latest and greatest electro-toys, geekboy wannabe!:biggrin_25516:
