I've got 21.5 hours of driving left to finish training, then I'll be getting off at the next terminal, graduate from training, get my truck, and start getting loads towards home. It's been 6 weeks since I've been home. I'm glad I didn't take the paid time off half way through. I'm looking forward to the extra $500 graduation bonus. I really can't wait to go home though, mainly to see my dogs. Those little ##### have been lost without me haha. They're gonna go nuts when I get there.

I have the Lapdesk Futura and some other stuff waiting for me when I get home as well. I bought a DC charger for the truck for this laptop. I still need to pick up some stuff. Gotta get a DC Cooler, small power inverter, Sirius sat radio, etc

I really can't wait to be in my own truck. I want to be able to fall asleep without trying to kill my trainer because of his loud snoring... unbelieveable how annoying that is. I've been putting on my Ipod Shuffle and blasting the sound so I can't hear anything and falling asleep to trance music, but after a little while that will wake me up too because either the ear pieces will get too uncomfortable or the high volume starts to destroy my eardrums. I wake up and I'm all shaking and breathing fast because I can't sleep for more than 20 minutes without waking up.

Of course, this only happens when he decides to sleep at the same time as myself. If he's driving down the interstate while I'm sleeping in the bottom bunk, I sleep like a baby. Until we leave the interstate of course. I want to be able to sleep in a NON MOVING truck with NO SNORING BEAST sleeping in the bunk beneath me... -_-

Haha, yah I was gone for a month during training and my dog freaked when I got home, so happy.

Im training with a relative, they're an O/O so I think the truck will move enough that I dont worry about snoring, I feel for you man! Had a room mate during school that would snore, and then scream in his sleep haha. Tried the music thing, no luck too painful on the ears.

And Sirius definatly, mines in my car but ready to come out when I get my own truck in 6 weeks.

BTW I was thinking of building a mini tower desktop, with a set of laptop hard drives so it can take the shock. WIll need a decent inverter to run it with a 500w powersupply, but I think in the long run it will be cheaper than a laptop just because it can be upgraded. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144142
Its big enough to hold an 8800GTX so that will be nice, and its SMALL so I can hide it away, and hook it up to a TV, maybe a 22" TV.

That sounds like an awesome idea. I'm going to stick with the basics for now. Going to get Sirius and my mobile broadband connection (thinking of going with sprint cause 5GB is a retardly low cap.. i can go through that in a week...). I'm going to wait until I own my own truck before I start loading it with technology lol. Most of the stuff I want to do, I probably wouldn't be allowed to do on a company truck :p

On a side note, I just hit my 275 hour mark and finished training last night while on the way to Proctor and Gamble in Pennsylvania. It just so happens I got to drive right through my hometown and on up to P&G where my dad works. Unfortunately, I didn't get to stop home or see my dad and I got my first speeding ticket about a mile from the P&G warehouse lol.. 70 in a 55 but he gave me a citation for something less severe with no points. Nice guy.

Few days here and I'll be getting off at the terminal in Columbus, Ohio hopefully and be getting my own truck shortly after, then a short trip to Pennsylvania where I can finally go home to see my dogs and my family and my computer lol and get my truck loaded with my stuff lol

And to think I thought truckers didn't do anything but truck.

I play WoW, StarCraft, W40K: Dawn of War II, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Favorite game of all time has to be StarCraft. 2nd ever game I purchased... first game was Populous: The Beginning. Ah the olden days. Where games used to be $19.99!

I was looking on gamestop.com and found that they are accepting pre-orders for Modern Warfare 2. For $59.99 and I felt my jaw drop to the floor. $60 for a PC game? What the hell! I paid $40 for Modern Warfare and it came out a few years ago. I just hope that Blizzard doesn't go the same route for StarCraft II and Diablo 3. That will be killer on most gamers.

    Current system specs:

    Windows Vista-32 SP2 Home Premium
    Pentium D 945 3.00GHz (Rated at 5.46GHz)
    4GB DDR2 800MHz OCZ SLi RAM
ATi Radeon HD4670 (Overclocked to 840MHz/1130MHz)
    575W Logisys Power Supply
    LG W2361 23" 1920x1080 (I have a 22" Acer X223w as well for backup)
inLand Headset/Razer Lycosa keyboard/Razer DeathAdder mouse

I was running Windows 7 RC1 64-bit for awhile, but it started bugging out on me so I went back to Vista. Hop, skip, jump, done.

I have a Xbox 360 as well, usually play Halo 3 or Gears of War 2. Sometimes I branch out and play Fable II or BioShock.

I'm always on Xfire and Steam: add me! :) Xfire: daemon11991 and Steam: FLKane1
    Xbox Live is FLKane1

Heh. My friend has that problem. I kind of fixed it for him by updating graphics drivers. He now has a whole whopping 20fps! :biggrin_25526:

I have a neglected WoW account with a couple of 80's on it. I haven't played because I'm to lazy to set up my addons again (and again and again and again, every freaking patch, grr.)

I've been playing Eve on the road. I worked my way up to L5 missions and then realized last night that all the L5 agents were in low sec space. I do not want to lose my expensive shiny ship so I can't do them. :biggrin_2552:

You know they make solid state laptop hard drives that are impervious to vibrations and they're actually affordable now.

I haven't had to setup addons after patching... Though you might want to start up as 3.2.0 comes out next month.

All addons are up to date... At least the more popular ones.
