Went to the bank in person one day to take out 7k to buy a car. Teller told me that I needed to come back tomorrow and that they didn’t have that much cash on hand and that I should have called ahead of time.

Somebody better get me my money……
Still had to come back 3 hours later.

Pulled outta that bank and never went back.

This is a marriage of convenience, they are 2 miles from my home.
I have 100k in my savings account, and it must be driving them wild.
every other week its an offer of this, or that, to invest with their bank.
I may leave it rot right there, just to melt their little rat brains.
I can feel them salivating over getting me to invest some or all.
and then saying "so solly, you lost it in a bad trade." Bite me.

The contractor just left, and this is today's progress photos below.

Contractor finished putting on the roof today.
All that is left now is a lot of clean up.
Forgot to get pictures before it got dark today.

I used my Lull tele-handler to place 30 foot panels
up on the roof, first time I did that kind of thing.
I did bump a corner trim piece with the stack of sheets
moving into position to lift, but they replaced it.
So glad this BS is over.

I wasted the entire summer on this fire and clean up.
So many projects, and so little time.

Feedman, Opus and Oxbow Thank this.

I called today for a quote on spray insulation.
$10,500.00 w/4 to 6 weeks till they get to me.

Anybody have experience with those 2 part A and B tanks
for "do it yourself" guys for around 700 bucks?
Any good, and how hard is it to do overhead?

Today I got an all terrain scissor lift to do the fascia that hides the bar joists
and install the trim. The guy I got it from took all the wires off everything
and adapted it to remote pendant operation. real slick.

Beautiful day here today, not many like this left in the bag.
Did I mention I hate Winter?

    Lav-25 and Feedman Thank this.

So we tried to use the high-lift, but it got stuck on 2" of stone???
Just had no cajones on encountering any resistance?
The guy who retrofitted the remote unit to it then came over,
and in 2 minutes had it spinning the tires.
Flow restricting valve setting was too far in. Done.
Too busy to use it till Saturday and Sunday, but now it works.

Thursday I'm changing the bucket lift cylinders on New Holland skid-steer.
And Friday I also caught a car tow back, so no deadhead return. Gotta love that.
Friday I'm picking up some won auction tools to replace the fire loss items.

Fire ruined everything, just pisses me off.
Took me 3 days to get the wiring all replaced on skid-steer. GRRRR!!
Both bucket cyl. had the seals melted so bad juice just poured out.
Luckily there was a pile of 10 tires between the engine and the fire.
The tires burning got black soot 1/4" deep all over everything.
Fire company hosed them down quick. Blessings on them; all volunteers.
I'm still cleaning up the fiberglass panel pieces from breaking up the roof.
And the little white stone like rice, I have buckets of it; gonna strain it
and use it for sandblasting. Should be hard enough.

    Had another beautiful day.

    Feedman Thanks this.

The scissor lift saga continues, I tried to get some welding work done,
and the phone would not stop ringing. Had two tows, and a junk car call.
Just get back, and get it up to 18 feet, and a guy pulls in and wants to chat.
Must be nice to have nothing to do and all day to do it.
Gave me a tow job for a dually dump truck - from a shop, to his home, 4 Wed.
I'm retired, but scheduled out to middle of next week?? How's that work?
I just want to finish up this garage that ruined my summer.

Cool morning; but another beautiful day.

    Feedman and AModelCat Thank this.

Got 3/4 of the 40 ft. of 2' high fascia (that hides the bar joist) installed and trimmed out.
Took the better part of the day, as the lift kept getting stuck and digging holes.
I would move it forward 8 ft. and try to turn it closer to the building, and it's stuck.
If you keep going - its fine, but as soon as you stop it sinks in.
Not all terrain. Borrowed for free so I can't complain, but its aggravating.
Almost to the point where I have some serious welding 18' up on the back corner.
That's the point where 20 years ago I said "we'll get to that another time."
It appears that time is now. I'll post pictures when I get some.

Copart run to Phila. tomorrow, for a 9 AM appointment to load a BMW.
So the day is shot up to about two, then I get back to what I need to get done.

Cooler morning again, but all and all, another beautiful day.

    Feedman Thanks this.
