Garmin Dezl 570 problem

My Dezl 770 took a dump on me last week. It was running along just fine and then it said it could no longer make a route to my destination. This was only in a few places near San Fran. Then it was no longer able to route to any location in truck mode. It worked fine in car mode. A day later it wouldn't route in either truck or car and just showed a blue screen. I got home and hooked it up to my computer and it said the map was gone and that is why it wouldn't route. So I did an entire system reload and it all came back to life. It did say that the internal memory was at max and it was time to get an sd card too.

 

Are you adding in a lot of misc POI's or other add-ons? Did you ever try manually shutting the unit completely off (long press of power button) then back on? Has the unit been updated with most current software (firmware)?

Every once in a blue moon following months of constant on, my DEZL unit will start acting squirrely. A soft reboot, and all is fine.

 

I have added just the usual amount of locations. Not more than 40 or so. It won't load the entire map until I get the sd card in..it only loaded the lower 48. The main program was up to date.
