Always update maps weekly and make sure you go into settings and change preferences on roads you want to take. I always put “always ask” when it comes to tolls and it shows me multiple routes if I select that option.

    It’s under avoidances.

click settings and navigation and then avoidances.

You have to take everything with a grain of salt. Use your own comprehension.
Garmin will overreact to many things. Express toll? Says the entire freeway is toll. No trucks turn off highway in this town. It will say no trucks allowed on that highway. Final destination. It will run you around it. Things like that. But overall it is very good.

I back up my GPS with another GPS like Hammer which you can download on the TR site. I've even tried Google Maps on occasion just to see if it would get me to my destination, never to drive by.

Yeah ....It is normal , but not the norm , if that makes any sense to you. You always still have to use common sense. I don't trust all these gadgets, myself. There is one where the 91 hits the five or close to there that messes with me all the time. LOL
