Most Companies let you take your truck home for home time and as long as you have a safe place to park it.. usually not a truck stop or shopping center lol

My neighborhood has an ordinance prohibiting parking commercial vehicles overnight, so taking the truck home is not an option. How do other people deal with that sort of thing? Sorry for all the noob questions
-
Some places (cities) have privately owned large vehicle parking areas (for a fee) try that, I used to have 10 acres so i never had a problem, We moved to Ohio and I got a local factory to allow me to park there when im home and they have a guard.. Also the company you drive for might have a customer near your home that you may be able to park at... good luck to you

Sorry Miles Ohio! I haven't been on here in a while. Garner does have a drop lot in Fairfield, Oh, just south of you. When you are home I think you can park there.
Miles Ohio Thanks this. -

Great! Welcome to the Garner Crew! Let me know how you do and if you have any questions!

Your recruiter (Nathan?) was at our school today and gave a good presentation. I have put in an application - is there a way I can make sure you get referral credit?
-
No. I don't get referral for students. But you can just let them know if this made an impact in your decision and I might get "Brownie Points" or an at-a-girl! LOL! Seriously, I am just glad to help out someone coming into trucking. I think we lose a lot of potentially good drivers to the mega-carriers and the way they push their trainees into teaming way too fast. A good trainer should be sitting beside you the whole time in my opinion. Good luck and be sure to say "Hey, Emma" when you see me!Lonesome Thanks this.
