Finally got my chance to get into cryo from my tanker background. I scored a M-F dayshift with an amazing start time (0630), union shop, 50-60 hours a week. It’s been great so far being off nights and getting home by 600 most nights. I love it.
The senior drivers have the easier runs and routes but I can’t complain about my route. I’m still young and can handle the workload. I’m a cylinder kicker which I guess you could say would be food service on the cryo side. Hard work.
Just looking for tips, stories, experiences and such. So far I love it. The benefits, pay, and start time outweigh the tough work of pushing around 3 cylinders on a dolly. Anyone do this type of work or know about it?

Know it’s an old thread but do you happen to still be doing it? How’s the actual work? Have a chance to work for Linde about 10 mins away from my house with a normal M-F schedule. Manager I interviewed almost seemed like he was trying to scare potential applicants with how hard the work is. Is it really that bad?viper822004 Thanks this. -
Always a chance to move on to another job with the company and they may train for a CDL class A if you don't possess one. Decent pay and benefits imhoviper822004 Thanks this. -
