Isn't there a 15 year old computer wizard/geek that can do a work around on the pipelines systems or maybe design a firewall or some security programs for these outfits?

That would not be good in a collision or rear end hit..
I probably have around 12 gallons in 2 five gallon cans and a couple smaller ones in the garage. Swap out the fuel every fall. More to have handy than anything else. -

There is, they just decided it's more profitable to defeat security systems and shutdown pipelines.
Riviera Beach, FL where I used to work. The city had their computer systems hacked. They paid over half a million dollars to the hackers to regain control.
