Here in the Florida panhandle all gasoline is chevron from Pascagoula Ms refinery. All additives including ethanol are splashed on while loading the truck. It makes no difference if it's a Exxon station, Shell or what.
You ain't going anywhere. You're a gas hauler thru-n-thru! If you go to another sector of the trucking industry, you're gonna have to do actual WORK for your pay.
The thought of doing anything else pains me. I do love hauling gasoline, and want to do this until I retire as a driver. I might go into the legal field eventually. I'm dabbling in stenography lately so there's that
Like a court reporter course, or you bought yourself a used steno machine and you practice while in line at the loading rack? I considered that line of work when I saw what a court reporter makes, then found out that generally the reporter has to type the court transcript him/her self. At least that was the deal where I was living.
It's going to be a combination of both probably, I think one can learn theory on their own and then build speed. The steno machine is probably prohibited at the racks--grounds for a lifetime lockout and severe verbal abuse at Shell. The sparks can ignite the vapors and kill/poison everybody within a 10 mile radius.
Maybe you can find a sealed one approved for use in hazardous atmospheres. THEN what they gonna say?....... When I worked in Detroit, the Shell rack was the most laid-back one. Marathon was the second most persnickety rack after Mobil, then one day all Mobil's trucks were gone, the rack was renamed "Global", and Marathon took the top ordeal spot and have held it ever since.....
At Kinder Morgan (Fresno,CA) Costco USUALLY loads Tesoro gas. Then, when you get to the warehouse the attendant adds their own additive to the tanks before you make the drop to make it Tier 1 gas.
