    hi , just wanted to see if anyone has tried any aftermarket waterpumps? Gates or Heldex to be specific. What are your thoughts?

    I may just end up getting it from dealer. price difference is about $160 bucks

    I replaced with this volvo OEM , not are who's the manufacturer, i have a photo on my phone on my last 2008 truck part#.
    It's not hard job for a hobbyist mechanic to save a $, i drained coolat, removed pulley, and had hard time installing the belt back. I remember watching a video, there's a guy here in Ontario manufacturing a special wrench for Volvo belts removal. I would stay with oem, they last over 500k, usually leak around the shaft bearing, not gasket .
