We have really been pushing it hard. Which is awesome. On the way to FL for a 5 stop meat load. Get to dreliver to the rat in orlando (mickey mouse). Why sales has us going to orlando then back up to JAX makes no sense to me but hey I just deliver the stuff on time. Last week our fuel cost to the tractor was .081 fleet was above .15. Yep IP we did the Peru stop as you suggested and the meal accross the street was awesome. Our pick up was from 0200 to 2000 sat. we knew that the cargil loads can be delayed a bit so we had a oil change done over night and pulled in to the 01 (pick up) at 0900. Load was ready at 0600 so we were in and out in a flash.

I love this. Makes me feel like I'm there, a bug on the front grill, riding along to points unknown.

Peru is handy... there's a Walmart and shopping center at the next exit (74) that you can get to along the road that runs by the Sapp Bros... within a mile. No need to bother Ms Elogs for that.

if we can get a decent load we'll try it. I should not complain as the loads are paying nice and since I wanted to experience the LO side I am seeing how it is about the net to the truck not the miles. Like this load we just got has a 300 mile dead head out of FL. Then a 39 mile yep under forty to deliver. It pays over 500 bucks and there is talk of D/H pay for it as well. So in all a good load but being a team we want to roll.

Our stop in Orlando was a cool one but had a lot of down time. We pulled in Sunday around noon ran my 11 to withing 5 minutes. Normally would not do this but you'll see why in a minute. Parked up at the Bass Pro Shop on I drive. Did not have to deliver til 0100 at disney about 20 minutes away. So took the trolley and did I Drive (I am familiar with FL so it was not as big a deal to me) Got ot eat Taco bell at non truckstop prices. Went to buffelo wild wings and watched football then ate at a brazillian steakhouse. Went to Disney then we had 3 stops from 0800 to 1030. Got back to Bass pro at 1000. our next stop was for 2200 15 minutes away so we took bus to universal and rode the coasters. Had a great down day to rev up.

Went to sygma at 2200 tight dock but I got it. then off to JAX nice short 2.5 hr drive. Unloaded by 0800 and now off to hotlanta. Should work in a moving 34 so hoping we will be near a good team load as we like to run coast to coast. but hey we'll take profitable runs any day.

ok i fixed the status. but will always be a student. must learn everyday said master yoda.

On the way to FL for the first home time since july. this was my choice not prime's. I am going to stay on the truck for a little extra time. Trainer needs a tooth extracted so I will upgrade stay wih him for a week then run his truck for a week to keep it out of the hole. We have an arrangement that is win win for us both. Then I might team for some winter might not.

Picked up a load in KS the other night at IBP. From Colorado to Kansas the wind was wicked. This was before the safety message came out. had to slow way down to keep it out of the ditches but we made it with 10 minutes to spare.

Miles last week were down but the truck made good money with our fuel plan and driving habits. Had my first flower load and while it was tiring as we had 12 stops and had to unload during sleep time but it was still a good load and any freight that pays better than the welfare juice is a +. Actually I liked the faster pace of the flower thing but was glad we sat for 5 hours waiting for next dispatch.

Pulled into SPringmo for a "quick" stop as we both needed to take care of some business. Well they said our trailer had bad brakes. so we went to the trailer shop waited an hour and they said no brake issue. When fueling they said the reefer clutch was bad. Well back to the shop and it was bad and they rushed us in. so our 2 hour stop turned into a 5 hour one but hey if the reefer blew and we lost this meat it would have been bad so "blessed are the flexible they will not be easily broken"

    Keep it safe
