If you are and you ever find yourself up in the NYC area let me know. I would like to have a little talk with him. You shouldn't ever have to put up with that crap.joshuapowell61, JRYCSD and Hedon Thank this. -

Thanks Bubba... he is a jerk...
fortunately, I do know there are deceant men like you. My experiences so far, before this one have been good.
I am out west now, we are waiting for a load and should be heading close to home. When I get close enough I am going to bail. I have a friend who will be picking me up and I don't have to worry about losing my job, and I also have other opportunites as well.
My boss does know what is going on and is getting us a load that will get me home. We both agree that it is best at this time for my boss not to speak with about it until I am out of the truck. Then he is going to meet up with him and take action. My boss told me to keep in close touch with him, and if need be he would fly me home.
Right now I just want to ride it out and get home. I am luckier than most, my boss is really a deceant guy and is going to take care of things and will fly me out if need be. I get the feeling from my boss that this guy has cooked his own goose.
Bubba, I really do appeciate guys like you and the many other deceant ones out here. It is unfortunate that there are jerks like him, but, I know that not all guys are like him. I hope more are like you.joshuapowell61 and RickG Thank this. -
joshuapowell61 Thanks this.

Anyway I am glad to hear your boss is getting you off that truck. Just try to stay safe until then. Hopefully you will have better luck with the next trainer. -
I can't believe that this crap still goes on. My personal views are I don't care what you do on your off time just be ready to work. I made a statement a couple of years ago that I think all training should stay professional and got shot down. Sure there's alot of window time but you do not need to be talking about your personal life. You can generalize about what you're saying but nothing I say turns to personal situations. If it does I just ignore it. And I don't see a problem with answering the basic questions either. Are you married YES or NO. Do you have kids YES or NO and so on. Nobody has to go into detail and if you do that's your choice. If a man dresses like a woman then there's going to be suspicion, if a woman dress like a man the same thing. But nobody has to confirm anything. You're there to drive a truck the best and safefest way you can. If you have problems obtaining that goal then a written report to the company with a copy to your lawyer should be submitted.

This company is very gay friendly, especially for women drivers:

Let's not worry about how i know this, let's just worry about the topic. For the record, i was browsing something unrelated---i do alot of research on trucking and bumped into this company.
2) i know what every lesbian needs........ (in reference to the jerk trainer) -
So yes, i'm pretty sure i know what every lesbian really needs and you would be a fool not to investigate it.
You can pm me if you wish. -
Transport America, Conway Truckload (back before they were CFI) and USXpress were each totally cool with my partner and I from the first day of orientation and during the 6 years we worked for them and we were totally out at all three companies from the first time we spoke to a recruiter.
It's not like we prance around with rainbow flags hanging off our shoulders, but it's going to come out so I wanted it out there right from the start. That way if there were going to be problems we could just move on and find a company where we would fit in better.
All those 'phobes who are always saying "just keep it to yourself" have no idea how much time they spend broadcasting their hetero-ness. The first day of orientation at USXpress they ask you who you want them to contact in case of an emergency and who you want listed as the beneficiary for your life insurance policy. When I named my partner they asked what relationship she was to me. I said she was my life partner and the lady said, "ok" and went on with her questions. When they asked the straight guy sitting at the desk next to me he said to leave it all to his wife. So why am I the one flaunting my relationship when he said the exact same thing I did?joshuapowell61, notezbngrn71, Reverend Blair and 3 others Thank this.
