Gay trainers/trainees.

As long as the trainer and the trainee dont start greasin each others kingpins I dont see what the problem is.

 

Interesting you lump every straight guy into a stereotype and then complain about getting stereotyped yourself. I am straight and while I don't have a wife I don't hoot and check out women like some kind of cretin. I'd be lying if I said I didn't talk about my exploits, but I do that with friends definitely not workplace material. I couldn't care any less what gay folks do.

 

Wow old thread. I'm going to step in an disagree with you here. She was indeed lumping people into a stereotype. But she wasn't complaining about getting stereotyped herself, she was complaining about being being discriminated against by her employer.

No one would be called into the office for offending a coworker by identifying yourself as being straight. But she tells a coworker that she's gay, after the coworker initiates the conversation, and she is reprimanded for it. That's not being stereotyped, that's being discriminated against. Big difference.

 

interesting, i get more fascinated by someone being gay then worried about it, i start asking what are stupid questions in my eyes, and while i make fun of it, i also expect to get crap back, i would prefer if I called someone a gay they would reply with a F U straighty, I get ### all the time, then we both have a laugh about it. But thats me, but I would also make the same rule for everyone, dont care if you have a guy in the truck just clean up any mess and let me know beforehand.

As gay types tend to be more 'animated' and 'detailed'...
I think it would be a hoot to have someone who was openly gay or 'sissy', as a trainer...life would never cease to be dull, that's for sure...

And when I hear stories about over weight hetro males who urine inside the trucks infront of their students, and who could careless about training their students, who just sleep and eat...I think an openly Gay or Feminane trainer might be a refreshing change...

Or it could get annoying, like being cooped up with your wife for weeks at a time...

From all the people I have met that are gay or straight, gay people have always been the life of the party. Every single one of them. They are so fun to be around and never cease to amaze me with how they can make any situation a fun situation.

On top of that 99% of them take care of themselves and look, smell and make everyone are them feel good.

Yes some straight drivers take care of themselves but lets be honest, a good 80% of the drivers on our roads are overweight, disgusting slobs ( well from the 4 years working at 2 different truck stops back in high school )

Gay people have been murdered often for their sexual orientation and usually do not like to draw attention to themselves. Most Gay people will not tell casual strangers they are gay. Effeminate men, and also Butch looking women can be either gay, or streight.

many many many many ppl get murdered everyday for various reasons...(i remember ppl being murdered fro having blonde hair and blue eyes....hmmm) not just gays . i have no prob with them as long as a lesbian doesnt hit on me... well, a butch one lol...joking... i just hate how there are pitty parties thrown for subjects like this..... old......
