Price rises are not price fixing you're putting blame where it doesn't belong. Prices will go up exponentially in the months and years ahead. Inflation. Do you know what quantitative easing is? That's where the goverment buys back it's own debt by printing more money. Money that isn't backed up by anything. It only has value because you THINK it does. You hear of QE1, QE2, and soon to come QE3? It leads to hyperinflation. You think it's bad now you ain't seen nothing yet. When the dollar was backed by gold inflation in this country was relatively flat from when it was founded until 1913. 1913 was when Congress abdicated it's authority over currency and handed it off to greedy private bankers (The Fed) who saddled the American people with perpetual debt servitude and eased us away from real money backed by gold. That's when 3% annual inflation became the new norm. That's what's wrong with prices now. Easy credit and debt servitude have ruined this great country.
I hear you and I have heard all the stuff you point out. I have grown up in a country that has lost everything twice due to inflation taking off like a run away train and people right now are buying real estate like crazy since they do not trust the Euro. Thats the reason I don't like debt, pay cash and own everything I have out right. You might have just recently heard about the price fixing of the sellers of e-books and e-readers. That is just the latest in one of many price fixing scandals. Yes, as long as our government keeps printing money to support their ill fated ideas we will get screwed. I guess we have a combination of both, but guess we are the ones that get to pay for it.
I think truck owners should be given some real tax breaks, heck we spend enough on fuel and repairs to definitely do our bit for the economy ! In all reality I am just a spit in the ocean in the sense of economical contribution but I can't help but think how many services this industry supports. Mechanics, parts stores, tire dealers , every part on our trucks supports a section of the service industry in any town or city. The more harder it becomes for truckers and the more truckers go out of business this must have a lead on effect into the decline of businesses that service the trucks and truckers. For all the #### we get the general public should give us a little more respect , and the gubberment should realize this and help this industry stay successfull instead if tying it up in endless regulations and enforcement of unfair systems and laws! I really don't have much knowledge of economics or government but this is just my personal feelings on the topic.
Scary isn't it....... thing is SOMEONE is going to have to pay that money back. All that printed money.....and most likely it will be my grand daughter and her generation.
Our future generations will surely pay but the debt will never be fully paid, it will just go on and on and on and on.
$40 million would not be bad, but unfortunately he is doing 40 billion a month. I wish I was in the money printing business right now. There seems to be no shortage of work.
