Ask the clerk at the fuel desk or sign on pump, should say. I always treat with power serve if I'm going to park my truck
Turned off below zero.
Put the anti-gel in an hour before I shut off motor.
In the winter I carry a couple extra filters just in case it freezes up. Then I use 911 in fresh filter and the truck is good to go.
Gelling up

Most of it is good to 10 degrees. As this article states, some locations may add higher quantities of kerosene or other additives to bring down the gel point. For most people over the road fueling near interstate highways I would say 10 degrees is about the best you'll get.

I'm not saying you can't get fuel out of the pump that is good below zero but for most people fueling up on their company fuel network, you won't find it.
An example of diesel good to -30 out of the pump. Cenex® Winterized Premium Diesel Fuels | Top Cold-Weather Performance -
Must be nice...... around here (about 100 miles from the Canadian border) you never know exactly what your buying.

On my last truck i covered my fuel tanks, filters with fiber glass isolation from Home Depot and the fuel line with foam isolation, used to run Trans Canada .Some drivers use thick truck bed coating on the tanks, they look like covered in rubber . I use the product below, its cheap at "Whole sale club" here in Canada; and i have a block heater, if the truck was parked and sitting for awhile , i have Yamaha generator plug it for one hour before start. This generator has DC power also, can charge batteries.

Look into installing a Davco 382 on your truck. Also Arctic fox make good fuel tank heaters.I have both and run Minnesota all the time. I was up in Detroit lakes this week when I hit -30 below... never gelled up once on Number 2 fuel.

This morning, from Indianapolis to Effingham IL, on I-70 I've seen maybe 20-25 trucks frozen on the shoulder. I was lucky, I understand some trucks have issues with DEF fluid in low temps on top of air and diesel, I was lucky .

Never shut off.
Your engine heats fuel and returns some of it to both tanks. Eventually the tanks stay warm enough to protect the fuel for a while. You exchange fuel mileage and economy for assurance you don't have a dead truck and expose the driver to potential death by exposure among other problems like very large road call expenses etc.KB3MMX and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
I've been running #1 in my truck for the past 2 weeks or so here in ND. Last weekend it hit -30F, had the Espar running to heat the coolant, had the weather front on, and the truck started and ran all day without a problem. Doesn't Minnesota still have the 5% mandatory biodiesel blend? Maybe that's the problem.
KB3MMX and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
