It's been 5 degrees out here. I use a piece of cardboard to cover the 75% of the grill. And maybe about 5 gallons of kerosene with every 100 gallons of diesel.

Luck should have very little to do with it. Prepare your truck for the cold..... -
Good idea with the kero; it stops fuel gelling in the cold tank. BUT, You gotta do it before weather event
Kero or diesel 911 put in after you have an issue is supposed to get there by ...what ....magic? -
911 is designed to be used after the fact.... kero and power service (white jug) should be put in before fueling.

It's Prior Proper, tell it right if you're going to stand up on the box.

I've been to -12 in my Volvo, and my -19 in the trusty Freighty. Never turned the truck off either time. Put in Howe's for the -19 event. No problamo.
The big stops sell treated fuel ( winterized ). I regularly see 0 to like -6 untreated, shut truck off, run APU, no problamo. I do have a heating element in the water separator. -
Never trust any fuel stop to “treat your fuel”......
And I haul fuel in the winter......KB3MMX, Goodysnap, Volvo8873 and 1 other person Thank this.
