The customer will rarely help. They usually just sit on the forklift and watch. Usually when I get help, it's from another driver and I will usually help them fold thier tarps. It doesn't matter what the company name is on the side of the truck, I'll help anyone.
Did have one occurance that irritated me a little. Was trying to fold my lumber tarps up in a 30mph wind. Another TMC driver was there, had a passenger so might have been a trainer, not sure. They watched me chase my tarp around trying to get it folded. Didn't even offer to help.

As much as I can I try to help the driver's that I unload at least fold their tarps . Becuse they need to be turnin to be earnin, and they can't do that sittin in my yard. That doen't mean that I always help because I also deliver and am not always there to unload.
Most of my deliveries are lumber, drywall, shingles etc... -

Thanks for the info yall. Like I said when we need one of our loads tarped we'll help the driver tarp them. Rarely do we recieve large shipments that are tarped, but when we do you can bet we'll help the driver fold them up....especially after reading yall's posts. Thanks.
