We have an intersection in my small town of Johnsville, Ohio at CR314 and SR42 .... unfortunately it's not marked, nor visible on GPS or Google Maps, to my knowledge, that has snagged MANY a lowboy.
Last time I saw it happen, I rounded up a local farmer with a tractor for the extra lift. I don't know WHY they don't grade that dang road down; it IS a designated truck route, as well! Just like that McD's . . . idiocy. You'll see a lot of that once you get out here; learn all you can and ask away, just as you are.
    Good luck on next test.

Thanks, I'm gonna continue studying and take my next test Tuesday since they are closed Monday and I'm pulling 12's all weekend. I want my permit by June so I don't have to wait another month for class or go to another school.

Of course they should but some trk drivers just plain too lazy to raise the landing gear all the up like they should.

Then some trailers are made with low landing gear.I had one trailer like that when I drove for a small company. It was only like a foot from the ground.I got stuck at times at a dust because there ground wasn't level and I'd have to ask a yard jockey to get me outm

There should be a law against that; a landing gear that won't raise enough? #####. Glad I never encountered THAT~!
