It's incredible! After getting things repaired, forcing compliance within the company, and generally holding my ground about safety and legal stuff, I don't have many problems that need fixing!

I still lurk, a lot. I read this site like a newspaper.

    Good job! (Slow clap)

In this day, companies need drivers like you. You've obviously stood your ground and probably have a comfortable place with in the company for the time being. Keep doing what you do driver.

I got a great laugh reading that. Yes never take the crap the company tries to force down your neck. I remember many times refusing to even hook up to a trailer until either a tire was fixed or a permit sent to me. I had a guy once to call me and try to brow beat me because the load was hot. Never worked. I had people tell me they would pay my fines. I still refused because its my neck on the line and MY CSA or what ever its called score that took a hit. I ALWAYS TELL DRIVERS TO STAND YOUR GROUND!

Personally all I used were these tests and passed general knowledge and air brakes. Didn't quite nail combination until my class session went over it.

truckingtruth.com has a cdl "course" called the high road with like little quizzes on each section. the first really long one is general knowledge and there is sections for air brakes and combo sections also, I'm not saying this websites isn't good I didn't use it but that's another option for you it was helpful to me.

That's why I always had a direct number right into the safety dept. Most of the time my fleet manager knew if I said no it was over and he started to get the situation fixed. If I got lip back I called safety.

Just a note here to all the green drivers. Safety is NOT your enemy unless you make them so. Never ever be afraid to call them if operations is trying to screw you over.

    White_Knuckle_Newbie and Thull Thank this.

    15 sections... 168 pages... Over 1,000 questions.

I like the "Course" provided through each State's CDL Manual, supplementing it with the tests offered through The Truckers Report, CristCDL, TruckingTruth, Truckers Country, CR England (yes, it has the "General Knowledge Section" available to the general public), and referencing each State's CDL exam available through "Google Search."

I used this site while taking notes for memory retention, as well as high road guide on truckingtruth.com. I also used a couple of sites via Google search for their quizzes - all helped me pass all tests with ease.
