The only general that was a single final radio was the general AP hill. All others were dual final radios from factory

*Original poster* try a 10a fuse in it, if that still blows on transmit, get your swr checked (might do that anyway. Still no luck then have radio checked. -
Ohh i know what he does to those radios.. i have repaired many of them my self.. and actually he doesn't do most of the radios.. he farms it out to other shops and says he does the work.. had the pleasure of talking to him on the phone a few years ago... guy is a moron..

Ok, here's a General Lee. Do the following to meet our standards:
1. Bypass the factory voltage supply at TP7 and apply direct 14v (3x the factory setting)
2. Bypass all limitations by cutting traces up the chain so it's not so obvious
3. Jump a direct diode from the voltage regulator to the supply of the high power variable
4. Tell customer he may have to set mic gain at 8:00 to be understood. If he gets complaints have him answer "you must be to close to me" regardless if they are 10 miles or more away.
5. Offer a lifetime warranty. If customer sends the radio back, keep it for 8 months at least or until they give up.
