Bingo ..Very well put..Rep points for you...And to read other post on how people are doing so well just sickens me..I am doing alright but last year was better.

Face it everyone the Economy is heading south and it will not get better anytime soon..

And people here thinking that the economy is so great..They will soon learn on how it will effect them when the sledge hammer falls

Yes, there is a huge downside to a strike; but a very LOUD message needs to be sent to those in DC that believe we are idiots and will just suck it up! It's about time folks start standing up to it - we are the country not the folks in DC and certainly not in Saudi!

The earth constantly creates oil. There is enough for tens of thousands of years; and you are right, the tree-huggers need to be silenced. The majority's voice is louder than theirs if we would just speak up - especially by our actions.

I read the first page and the last page. I am sure it has been said, but we deal with the laws of supply and demand. As a global economy we are now dealing with many countires that are sprawling and hitting their automotive booms (China) and are competing with us to purchase oil. I am not going to waste more time talking about supply and demand.

With that being said, there is plenty of oil that we can get "locally" and reduce our dependance on foreign oil. Go up to Alaska, invest more into deep sea pumping, etc.

A few might be doing well but all of us would like to be making money with out doing with out the nice things that a lot of people have. Why sould the working class have to tighten their belts to where they can not breath Give up the things they enjoy just so oil companys can rake in billions in profits.
