    Well in a short answer.O/O Heavy Haul all permit loads and I dont use Brokers.Thats like rolling dice to see if your going to be paid and the little bonds they have would not pay for my fuel.Reality is whith fuel going up every day a lot of companys will make their own adjustment on frieght.My frieght can change if fuel gets to high.Like fuel if the frieght get so high companys will think of other ways to move it.Lots of frieght can be moved by rail just not from door to door.But any time anyone think the imppossible will not happen just ask some ex Enron Employees.

    Does Rail Road ring a bell.Then use local cartage for in town deliverys.Yes I know Rail Roads are slow.And do you think the big trucking companys will not get more trucks and terminals And the brokers are not loyal to any one just money.I hope it works out the way you and some more think it will it will mean more money for you.

    There is more freight than there is space on rail cars. Plus if ALL the freight was shipped via rail road how long do you think it would take to get that freight from New York to LA? Now think about the cost of keeping the Reefer Cars cold for that whole time periord. Trucks bring freight to railyards and Trucks bring freight to the customers from rail yards.

    And btw there are plenty of good brokers out there, I use one and I have NEVER been screwed and I am paid within 2 business days!

    And you still haven't answered my question about how often you figure your operating cost.

    Since there is no answer, I think I know it already......

    You probaly do since you have an answer for ways that you will make lots of money and never get in a bind or go broke I know some people like that They used to be in business.
    BTW.I know my operating cost,and my profit before I commit to a load.

    And who is complaing right now? Sure aint me and guess what? I am still in business and will be for the long run.

    Try some of my ideas out for a month and see if anything changes.....

    Thats the problem with some O/O's out there right now.. You have surived 33 years, but who is complaing right now? Trucking isn't what it used to be. Expierenced o/o's can learn from newbies and newbies can learn from expierenced guys.

    So basically you are saying I am a complete moron and all my ideas are stupid?

    Oh and BTW it is never a bad idea to try something different out to see if it betters your buisness.
