It is the O/O's that are so set in their ways are the ones screaming the loudest.... Gawd forbid they at least attempt to adjust their business practices.... That is how a business succeeds through boom and bust cycles. I believe there is a saying from the Marines : Adapt and Overcome. It works for them...

Nope the RailRoads and Big trucking companies can't haul 100% of the freight out there. Matter of fact there is some shippers out there who won't deal with the big compaines and will only work with o/o's and small trucking compaines. Do you know why that is? It is because of the service, professionalism and great customer service which a big trucking company can't have. And there is plenty of shippers who don't have a railroad tracks near their facility.

Bigdiesel you hit the nail on the head again....

The Marines saying is 100% correct

Adjust to the wave, nothing is going to be the EXACT same way for 30+ years...

While they are keeping us busy watching the left hand(oil prices), they are getting ready to drop the hammer on our constitution and our liberty with the right hand(North American Union)!
IOWABMW and BigOil, You both condone the price of oil? You say adapt or drown? Well tell me what you think about a 9 TRILLION DOLLAR national dept?
Oh I know, we let them get away with it so now we reap the
    Consequences right!

    Thats what I thought...
Folks don't let these guys fool you, anyone who don't give a dime about the old folks or the young, are not American in the true sense of the word.. NAZI is the word that comes to my mind!

This video is 10 minutes long and sheds a great deal of light on the subject at hand.

OMG so now I am a NAZI because I won't work for free or at a loss. If you don't like it in America get the heck out and find something that is much better to live in than here if you think it is so bad here....

America is what it is, fuel prices are what they are, debt is what most Americans are in.

Get real man, most countries pay WAY more in fuel than we do, way more for grocries, etc. etc. and do you hear them whinning like most Americans do?

Americans want everything CHEAP and force companies to outsource their product to get it produced cheaper to make it cheaper than it already was. But once they do that us Americans whine and cry that all of our jobs have gone overseas.

This whole strike, fuel price debate, etc. reminds me of a 3 year old laying down on the walmart floor kicking and screaming for that candy bar.

RV sales are up, there are still plenty of boats on the water, ATV sales are also doing good.

If we couldn't afford gas then why do we continue to use hobbies that use gas?

If you can't afford to fuel that big ole truck up, then maybe it is time to figure out a way to fuel it up or sell it and become a company man.

If you can't fill up and afford to drive that big ole SUV then it might just be time to sell it and by a Honda Civic.

    Now that is hilarous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, I thought I would mention this. Some people on here my say this is just another stupid saying, others might aggree

Look at the fixed incomers right now and how things are going for them.

What have you learned from this?

    SAVE FOR RETIREMENT!!!!!!!!!!

Don't let what is happening to them right now happen to you. Don't rely on Social Security for retirement and don't ever bite off more than you can chew.

For example, buy a house that will take 30 years to pay off and even if you can afford it now, you might not be able to when you retire in 10 years.

Heck even some of you now are in the same boat as them, but teach your children and grandchildren the importance of saving for retirment!!!!!!

I will make you one promise...

I will be here defending this constitution from people like you till hell freezes over! :biggrin_25511:

What is your stance on the North American Super Corridor? Are you for it or against it?
Where do you stand on NAFTA?
What do you think about the North American Union?

I bet you can't answer those basic questions with any amount of honesty!:biggrin_2559:
