I haven't been there in at least 15 years and it seems like nothing has changed. I had a part time job with a local spring water company that delivered private label water to them for their customers. We had two loads a day, five days a week and it was always the same bs every time. Most of our delivery locations the lumper fees were built into the contract since we were the private fleet for the bottler, not General Trading, they wanted payment in cash only back then and would always find at least one or two cases damaged so they could reject a full pallet of water making our planned backhaul of empty bottles from south Jersey impossible to complete.
All I will say is I am glad that job was a hourly paid position otherwise I would have gone postal at those innercity type craphole food warehouses. Out of the entire north Jersey/NYC group General Trading was my least favorite. I'd rather go to C&S in Woodbridge or any McLane live unload long before dealing with those idiots in Carlstadt.
