Generator for the tractor

How are you liking the apu any updates?

 

I used this carrier APU 2-3 months and changed it to Tripac. Both APUs are good. I liked Tripac. It cools little better and has less noise. It's worth to have them.

 

@Hurst, did you make any vents for the inventer exhaust? I just got eu3000i as well and planning to set it up in tool box of the trailer and run extention cord.

 

Nope.

It runs in the box just like you see it. Then lid closes box when not in use.

I have a Honda 5000 watt generator that I keep in a side box on the trailer. I turned the generator around so the muffler points outward and keep the one door open when in use and the other latched to prevent theft.

 

What ac are you going with bud ?

Not sure yet, but most likely will be getting 12k btu split system from Amazon.

 

10-4 good luck bud hope it works out keep us updated. I am working on a similar set up right now.

 

Bare in mind if your thinking to run a 12k BTU AC from the 20 amp plug,.. pretty sure the breaker will trip.


Get an adapter from the 30amp plug. Everything I have runs from the 30 amp side,.. wired to a household 4 way outlet in a cabinet in the sleeper.
