KSH Marine makes darn good generator boxes. I got the one I have been using for 4 years from them. They have generic versions already made up for most the popular portable generators. And they will custom make a box to your specs. Numbers 22, 23, and 24 on this page is the one on my truck. Generator runs right in the box with the top lid closed. Side panels come off to allow for ventilation. Nice safe and secure and out of the weather.

How long did it take them to do it?

 

It arrived at the house in about 2 weeks

 

My definition of quiet is being able to hardly hear it. I watched some YouTube videos and it had my phone shaking in my hand from the noise.

 

I'm so glad I've got generator. I didn't use it for Ac yet, but so far got me out of 2 service calls to mobile rip offs. Great investment ever for peace in mind.

 

When my Yamaha gen set is running, I barely hear it at all inside the truck unless I really listen for it. If I am next to anyone with an APU that is running, I can barely hear it over the APU when I am standing outside unless I get real close to mine.

 

What do you guys use to keep batteries charged when using the generator??

 

The generator! Really! I have a Xantrex inverter/charger that when plugged into generator changes from an inverter to a battery charger. And I still have 120 AC power in the sleeper, as it also passes thru AC from generator. Nice, neat, and complete.
