67% after workmans compensation is removed. depends on what you think of as "well". I'm pretty satisfied with what i make. Depends on what youre looking for. guys that live in your area usually work just days mostly. i sometimes do just days...sometimes more regional work. i average $2-2.40 for all miles at the end of the week, generally. they don't have tons of costs to start working with them. truck, bobtail ins., plates, nys hut and ifta account. look at their website....might want to look at "qualifications" as they don't train.
    hope this info is helpful.

It's flatbed. So spring and summer you work more than fall and winter. as i said it's percentage...and i average those numbers depending on where i'm going and if i go home instead of staying on the road. some loads pay $6 or more a mile...but they are short miles and you are deadheading back to the same place...if you run the city a lot, you might do well less than 1000 miles in a week, but spend money on tolls... and if they run, might gross $4000 or more. depends on the loads you pull/what's available and the motivation yo uhave to make money i suppose. In the winter i stay out on the road as much of the week as possible, keeps me occuppied and then i dont have to come home and shovel snow every nite or worry that the truck will start at 2am. summertime i'm home a lot. home weekends. paid a weekly. if you haven't been running flatbed trailers for years, i'd be very surprised to hear they would talk to you. good luck.

No doubt. I understand where you're coming from. We haul quite a few types of building materials, the rock is the easiest by far. I'd say it has more to do with pulling a trailer and running a log book. I've always run flats. I started out same as you. It can be done. Maybe I'll see you in there one of these days. My truck is on my profile, says Ruthless on the sleeper.
    Good luck, make it happen.
