Get fired; can't get hired?

Nope been fired a couple of times, sh! & attitude so im told! But my attitude is a direct action of your attitude I say! I was back to work within a day of being terminated.

 

YUP! Treat people the way you want to be treated!

 

But it's a little different with companies that report & subscribe to DAC (hireright). For typical jobs this is absolutely correct. For trucking jobs that subscribe to the hire right crap it can be a problem

 

Haven't you ever heard the old saying "it's not what you say but how you say it."
I speak my mind quite often, because I hate stupid people.
However, I learned a very long time ago, something you apparently have never learned and that is a thing called Tact.
Tact was defined to me one day a long time ago "You can tell someone to go to ####, (in a harsh manner) and he will hate you forever, tell him to go to #### with a little tact, and he'll offer to buy your whole family tickets. "
Again, speaking your mind is commendable, but say it with a little Grace and etiquette and you will be better received as well as making a very valid point.

 

Correct , you can call a spade a spade without giving them a reason to fire you.

Guess I am a odd ball . 27 years in and never end fired at any of the 5 companies . Two companies overlap at that.

 

Husband was fired because he got warnings from dot for going a few minutes over on his drive time overweight a little and they had him adjust tandems re weigh and it was good. All were warnings no citations or violations. Alot they listed was faultiness with the blue tree eld. My husband gave them the paperwork the next day. Dot said the company had 15 days to correct it. They didn't and 3 weeks In called him in a panic for the paperwork from dot saying they couldn't find it. He got it to them again and then they called him in had him sit all day only to fire him stating that he made them look bad and that he was gonna have a hard time finding another job

 

I guess is it would depend why you were fired. Did you bomb a piss test?

Where is his location; where does he live; state & nearest town/city?
